Good food, great location, friendly service. If you're a hiker trying to decide between this and another place to stay in Monson, you can't really go wrong; but with a pub downstairs and a diner next door, Lake Shore House has a pretty good handle on the local food game.

The food was good but the service was awful. I had two experiences dining here and they were probably the worst service I've had dining in a long time including forgetting our waters until after being served our meals and the forgetting of our appetizers that were then served after our meals. The 30+min wait for our checks were unacceptable as well.
Wonderful place to socialize, great food, music, beautiful views of Lake Hebron as well. Potentially romantic...
